I always adored architecture. My dad's first career was as an architect, and I used to love to look at the renderings he would bring home. My mom and I would drive around the neighborhoods just for the sheer joy of admiring the beautiful homes. Attending open houses was an exciting event for me as a child. My brother became a commercial real estate agent and he and I would meet for coffee to discuss deals. He taught me a lot about real estate and inspired me to get my license in the summer of 2006.
My career began with me simply cold calling huge institutional funds and taking banks, CEO's and high net worth individuals out to lunch. I networked constantly and having had a previous background as a marketing director for an architecture firm, I quickly found myself meeting new potential clients. I would attend City Council meetings and get to know the local developers and neighbors in the area and I soon became known for my off market commercial and residential property inventory.
As the market grew dark approaching the crash, I was fortunate enough due to my amazing network to have fallen into a niche market. Working closely with high end residential developers and architects, I honed my title as an acquisition specialist and high end residential listing agent. In addition to overseeing my investors' projects from start to finish, I would assist them through the city permitting process and walk every step of the way with them through their projects. On a commercial basis, I worked with banks and institutional funds, assisted in acquiring value ad and core plus real estate holdings. I am passionate about providing state of the art service, integrity and experience to all my clients, ranging from the novice to seasoned local and international investors to first time homebuyers.
I have listed, sold and leased a wide range of real estate assets, including 100+ unit multifamily projects and have also done large scale property management work. Additionally, I worked with hard money lenders, and spent four years attending trustee sales at various Los Angeles County courthouses. There, I evaluated, purchased, managed and sold properties on behalf of local investors.
I was later a member of the Rich Group, a renowned, high end residential top-producing Los Angeles real estate agent team and am currently licensed under Rodeo Realty.
Anyone who knows me also knows about my other passion: my lifelong love of animals. I am an avid animal advocate and began my journey in LA working exclusively with animals. Years ago, I ran a full time horseback riding lesson business and was a professional horse and dog trainer for celebrities. I rescued countless dogs, both privately, who I rehabilitated and rehomed, also alongside animal rescue organizations. I specialized in working with aggressive dogs and have trained too many horses throughout my life to count. My husband and I currently have two dogs, one cat and three horses. One of my dogs, Leonard, was a homeless person's dog, and Animal Control found him lying beside the body of his deceased owner, grief-stricken and unwilling to leave. He is now a happy and healthy beloved family member of ours. And just a couple months ago, I saved a young Arabian stallion who was slaughter-bound, emaciated, and injured. They are the sweetest souls, and all of them touch my life in the most profound ways.
Constantly traveling the country as a child and young adult, I found my home in Los Angeles. I love every nook and cranny of this city because it is my true home and I have lived here longer than I have lived anywhere else. Having been here for close to 20 years, I know it like an old friend, and am always ravenous to learn even more about its unique history and continuing evolution.
